I have the same problem, I bought two controllers and they arrived this week, and when testing I noticed that the analog on the left is not corresponding well, sometimes it works perfectly, sometimes it has a delay or performs functions alone.
I thought it might be the battery but I charged it and the problem persists.
NOTE I am using the 2.4Ghz USB dongle in my case it worked
