Black Myth Wukong Chapter 1 Black Cloud ,Red Fire
In Black Myth:Wukong, the hidden Boss in Chapter one is the core of the entire story.
The story begins with the relationship between Elder Jinchi and the Black Bear Demon. Elder Jinchi knew the Black Bear Demon from a young age. And the demon, being a unique kind of monster, enjoyed meditating and discussing philosophy. This lead to their friendship.
The Black Bear Demon even taught the elder the art of breathing and meditation, allowing him to live to the age of 270. During this time, Elder Jinchi developed a passion for collecting various treasures, amassing 12cabinets full of monk’s robes, totaling seven or eight hundred pieces. The kasaya brought by Tang Sanzang was no ordinary robe. It was a treasure personally bestowed by the Buddha to Guanyin Bodhisattva to passed on to the monk on the journey to the West. This caused Elder Jinchi to harbor malicious intentions. Encouraged by his disciples, Guangzhi and Guangmou, he planned to set fire to kill Tang Sanzang and his companions. However, Wukong borrowed the Fireproof Mantle from the Heavenly King of the Wide Eyes to protect Tang Sanzang and used a small trick to divert the fire elsewhere, resulting in a blaze that consumed the Guanyin Monastery and claimed the lives of over 200 monks.
The first chapter of “Black Myth:Wukong” is bases on this background. The ruined Guanyin Monastery seen by the protagonist, reflects the aftermath of that devastating fire. The blue-headed monster encountered early in the game, might be the mainfestation of the monks’ resentment who perished in the flames.Meanwhile, Guangzhi and Guangmou, the two disciples who initiated the fire, have turned into demons, wandering the ruins of the monastery.
To redeem his friend Elder Jinchi, the Black Bear Demon erected three great bells in the mountains, whose purpose even the local Earth God didn’t understand. After defeating Guangzhi and Guangmou, you will notice these bells. The third bell is located to the left after defeating the White Robed Demon, guarded by many small demons, with a fox demon hanging from a tree. Ringing the final bell, the protagonist is transported to the Old Guanyin Monastery, where the resentment is even stronger. Inside, three coffins can be found, and opening them grants the Nanhai Prayer Beads. According to the description, this item provides a long-lasting buff after absorbing ghost fire and even the item itself seems imbued with resentment. Upon the door, you will encounter Elder Jinchi, who has been transformed into a monstrous figure by his resentment. Despite losing his sight, he is still obsessed with the kasaya.
The BOSS battle resembles the previous encounter with the blue-headed monster, but Elder Jinchi can absorb bones to restore health, so you need to clear any bones. Finally, after defeating Elder Jinchi, he releases his obsession, lamenting that if he had not coveted the kasaya, Guangzhi, Guangmou, and the other monks would not have perished in the fire. Returning to the present, the protagonist obtains the Fireproof Mantle from the fox demon, the same treasure Wukong used back in the day. It grants temporary immunity to fire damage and automatically enhances staff techniques, which will be extremely useful when facing the Black Bear Demon.
Additionally, you unlock a new set of equipment that deals significant damage when enemies are immobilized, greatly reduces the cooldown time of immobilizing spells and provides fire resistance. Plus, it looks cool. With this gear, defeating the Black Bear Demon becomes much easier. This concludes all the content of chapter one.
