Easysmx DUO: Not Just a Pro Controller, But a Trendy Lifestyle Accessory for the Youth
Recently, we hosted an internal AI design competition, and the creative ideas that emerged were truly mind-blowing. One group designed something particularly intriguing: the Easysmx DUO, a modular split gaming controller.
Mind-Blowing: A Concept Machine That Breaks the Rules
To be clear, this is currently a "concept machine" and won't be mass-produced anytime soon, but that hasn't stopped it from becoming a hot topic in our office. The inspiration for this product came from observing a specific group of young men: aged 18 to 29, high-frequency mobile gamers (FPS or MOBA), but not necessarily hardcore geeks chasing extreme technical specs. For them, "looking cool while carrying it" is often just as important as "how precise the joystick is."

These guys have a very distinct trait: they are in the most socially active stage of their lives—either dating or on their way to a party. Their daily lives are a seamless transition between "gaming" and "recording."
If they win a match, they take a screenshot for their social feed; if they pass by a beautiful view, they shoot a short video. That’s why designing a "stronger controller" for them felt a bit limited. The DUO isn't positioned as a competitive tool, but rather as a "ready-to-use control terminal." It’s designed to handle both gaming and photography with ease.

Since it’s called a controller, it still needs solid hardware. Despite its lifestyle positioning, the specs are robust.
It features TMR joysticks, a technology that is far more durable than traditional carbon film joysticks and offers a silky-smooth feel without the annoyance of drift. With its split design, when you snap it onto your phone, it becomes a Pro-grade gaming controller. Whether you’re controlling recoil in a shooter or maneuvering in a MOBA, the feedback of physical buttons is something a touchscreen simply can't replicate.

The coolest part of this concept machine is its "transformation" capability.
It comes with a full set of magnetic accessories. When you're not in the mood for gaming, you can detach one side of the controller, and it instantly transforms into a mobile stabilizer for creative shooting. Thanks to the magnetic wireless charging dock, you don't have to worry about battery life, and you can use its ergonomic grip to capture steadier shots and videos. For users who "document life" every day on social media, this transition feels incredibly natural.

Final Thoughts: Redefining Trendy Peripherals for the Youth
It breaks the stereotype that gaming peripherals must be bulky, overly professional, or cold. Although it’s only a concept model for now, it embodies our vision: technology shouldn't be a burden on life; it should be a trendy accessory that fits in your pocket, ready to accompany you through socializing, playing, and documenting every moment.
