Meet Your Maker

Meet Your Maker

Meet Your Maker is a post-apocalyptic, first-person base-building and raiding game developed by Behaviour Interactive, the creators of the popular survival horror title Dead by Daylight. Set in a dystopian future where humanity struggles to survive after a catastrophic event known as "The Great Crumble," the game offers a unique blend of tower defense, stealth, and strategic gameplay elements.

World&Setting:

The game takes place in  a desolate, post-collapse world where players assume the role of Custodians, survivors tasked with rebuilding society by constructing and managing Outposts. These Outposts serve as fortified strongholds filled with traps, turrets, and other defenses designed to protect valuable genetic material called "Seeds." Seeds hold the key to restoring Earth's flora and fauna, and thus, humanity's hope for a brighter future.

Base Building:

At the core of Meet Your Maker lies the creative base-building mechanic. Players have access to a diverse array of modular structures, defensive systems, and environmental hazards to construct their Outposts. They must strategically position these elements to create intricate, multi-layered mazes that deter or eliminate invading players seeking to steal their Seeds. Additionally, players can customize the visual appearance of their Outposts, using various aesthetic themes and decorations to create a unique atmosphere.

Raiding:

The flip side of base building is raiding. Players can venture into other players' Outposts, taking on the role of Reclaimers who aim to infiltrate these fortresses, bypass or disable defenses, and successfully extract Seeds. Raids require careful planning, quick thinking, and effective use of stealth or brute force. Players can choose from a selection of Reclaimer classes, each with their own abilities and playstyles, to suit their preferred approach to infiltrating enemy bases.

Resource Management & Crafting:

Resources obtained through successful raids, scavenging, or defending one's own Outpost are essential for building, upgrading, and maintaining Outposts. Players must manage their resources wisely, deciding whether to invest in reinforcing existing defenses, creating new traps, or crafting powerful gadgets for their Reclaimer loadouts. The game features an extensive crafting system, allowing players to create a wide range of tools, weapons, and equipment to aid them in both base building and raiding.

Asynchronous Multiplayer & Community Interactions:

Meet Your Maker employs an asynchronous multiplayer model, meaning players do not engage in real-time battles with others. Instead, they build their Outposts, which are then visited by other players in raiding mode. This setup allows for a more flexible playstyle, as players can engage in base building or raiding activities whenever convenient, without the need for immediate synchronous interaction.

Players can form Clans with friends or join larger communities, sharing resources, strategies, and blueprints for successful base designs. A rating and ranking system encourages friendly competition, rewarding players for creating challenging Outposts and executing successful raids.

Progression & Customization:

Players advance through a progression system that unlocks new base-building components, Reclaimer classes, weapons, and equipment as they gain experience. Customization options extend to both Outposts and Reclaimers, allowing players to personalize their creations and characters with unique appearances and abilities.

Conclusion:

Meet Your Maker presents a compelling blend of base-building strategy, stealth-based raiding, and resource management in a post-apocalyptic setting. By offering deep customization, asynchronous multiplayer, and a rich community-driven experience, the game caters to players who enjoy both creative construction and intense infiltration challenges. With its engaging gameplay loop and immersive world-building, Meet Your Maker promises to deliver a distinctive and addictive multiplayer experience for fans of survival, strategy, and competitive games.
